SSAMI Starter Kit

SSAMI starter kit is the kit to have on hand for first responders, military, and hazmat personnel. Comprised of a complete set of Training devices, SSAMI Narc, SSAMI Bio, training booklets, and sampling tickets, this package is ideal for municipalities and distributors to invest in. The  SSAMI-TRAINER, which functions identically to the actual device, provides rapid testing simulation for assessing potential biothreats contained in  an unknown  ‘white powder.’ SSAMI Narco delivers up to twelve immunoassay strips, which are run simultaneously from the sample, giving results for twelve drugs of abuse in just five minutes. SSAMI Bio hosts six immunoassay strips running simultaneously from the sample, showing results for six biothreat agents in just 15 minutes. A  second sample is retained in the device, which can be used for follow-up testing.

Training booklets prepare the end user for success in sampling techniques, identifying threats/reading results, annotating results, and packaging for disposal or further testing on each device. Sampling tickets allow the end user to train with artificial threats and better understand the device's use.

Testing Made Simple:

The surface sampling device (SSD) is coupled with a Lateral Flow Strip Test Assembly Container (LF-STAC). The SSD is common to all contaminated surface sampling and can be used to sample biological agents, chemical agents, explosives, narcotics, and other pathogens. It comprises a pre-moistened sponge that is used to collect the sample. Once returned to the housing, the sample is safely contained and allows ‘no contamination’ transfer of at least 1.8 ml sample to be injected into the LF-STAC. The LF-STAC, containing up to 12 threat detectors, will then analyze and display the results. A second sample is retained in the SSD, which can be used for confirmatory testing in a second LF-STAC, retained for further laboratory analysis, or safely stored as evidence. The LF-STAC can be configured to customer requirements.
