Mountain Horse Solutions Advances to Phase 2 of the U.S. Army X-Tech CounterStrike Competition in Germany

Colorado Springs, CO – November 6, 2025 – Mountain Horse Solutions, in partnership with S3Werx, LLC and Argus Industrial, LLC, is proud to announce its selection to advance to Phase 2 of the U.S. Army’s X-Tech CounterStrike Competition, to be held November 10–21, 2025, in Germany. This selection follows the team’s success in the initial round of the competition, where their innovative counter–unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) technologies stood out among a competitive field of global defense innovators.

The X-Tech CounterStrike Challenge—part of the U.S. Army’s ongoing effort to identify, assess, and accelerate the development of technologies that address rapidly evolving battlefield threats—focuses on countering small and Group 1–3 UAS threats that endanger warfighters and mission success.

During the Phase 2 competition, Mountain Horse Solutions and its partners will demonstrate an integrated suite of advanced counter-UAS technologies, including:

  • S3Werx SHRIKE Counter-UAS System — a versatile FPV/SRR hybrid solution designed around a Modular Open System Architecture (MOSA) to allow rapid adaptation to mission needs. The SHRIKE system incorporates the Argus STING, a platform-agnostic anti-radiation jamming seeker capable of locating, tracking, and destroying electronic jamming threats.
  • S3Werx FD-1 Interceptor — a high-speed, human-in-the-loop or human-on-the-loop interceptor that autonomously engages aerial or ground-based threats, offering flexible mission response in dynamic operational environments.
  • Argus TSUKAROK — a handheld UAS detection device that can be integrated into ATAK, providing operators with portable, real-time situational awareness and UAS detection capabilities on the move.

Together, these systems embody the rapid innovation and agile engineering necessary to meet the U.S. Army’s evolving counter-UAS requirements.
