Dynacell is a fully tested and proven solution that offers through-life economies and technological advantages against existing protection products.
Dynacell was conceived against the above background to provide ballistic, blast and fragmentation protection. It is designed to comply with STANAG 2280. Its unique energy-absorbing panels protect it and its occupants from the blast pressures experienced in incidents involving VBIEDs, as well as direct and indirect projectiles and fragmentation.
In 2010 and 2011 the Dynacell was tested in several explosive shots against more than 1 .5 tonnes of explosive. The Dynacell structure successfully reduced the pressure within the shelter by 84% to allowable levels. Personnel would have walked away from the explosive event without harm. The developed layered protection principle provides a system to meet threats from small arms, mortar, rockets and artillery as per customer requirements. Combined with the patented blast absorption panel technology, it provides a holistic system that can be scaled to meet a wide spectrum of threats as the theatre of operation demands.
Dynacell is flexible, modular and lightweight. It is specifically designed to minimize the logistic burden. It can be deployed by container or pallet and assembled quickly without the need for skilled labour or heavy plant equipment. It can be preassembled for delivery for specific requirements. The training burden has been minimised and standard tools utilised. It is constructed of fire-resistant materials that provide thermal insulation; this increases safety and provides a more comfortable and energy-efficient living and working environment.
